Happy early Halloween! Vampire Kim and Werewolf Harry... this idea really just flew by honestly I don't have a proper explanation for this but hey :] I did these in two days and quite happy with it, Harry looks kind of like Bigby from The wolf among us lol. I was thinking of something with Judit and Jean next... but no time (I'm so tired)......

(lowkey maybe because I was listening to this soundtrack that I went with the red overtone)
I kept thinking about the difference between drawing purely from scraps of memories and tediously molding it into something instead of finding references that are close enough to base on and faster, more practical. I find that newfound division makes me feel better about finding comfort in the attempt of creating sth out of nothing, while studying sth can just stay being obligatory and not emotionally attached.
I guess I’ve always feel like the lack of enjoyment that I have while doing studies is wrong, but that’s alright.

So I wanted to draw some portraits of Disco Elysium characters for practice and for how much I’ve been thinking about this game:
🌟First two being Kim and Judit my two favourites, a little unfamiliar starting out traditional drawing again so they look a little stiff but moving ontooo:
🌟Harry and Jean!! I tried different ways of emphasizing the shading on Jean but ended up messing up the proportion, but I like the Harry one with the Expression :D
And for now Trant lastly:
🌟I like how soft this one looks, but for some reason I don’t know how to draw hair that are this short 😭, and the anatomy here looks better

I didn’t really think much when drawing this just a sequence in mind of harry dreaming about when he was dying from the bullet, but in another scenario he’s a corpse being examined for investigation by Kim as Kim hovers over him. It’s supposed to be weirdly intimate and distant and absurd at the same time.

Edit: I fiddled more around the contrast adjustment and liked it better so figure I'll edit this in too :]
Huge shout out to P/cy for giving me advice on how to paint for Judit's portrait, the second sketch is necessary for only me (idk about anyone else yet) because I'm queer as fuck for broad shoulders.
