Lipstick and Pudding...

That pudding looks more like, well … not pudding.

This Valentine’s Day I attempted to take on Better Than Sex Cake head on to see if I could invent the next best dessert with my personal take on a lighter version of Better Than Sex Cake.

I had my personal taste tester (My Valentine) let me know how it holds up... Well... they stated it’s good BUT not better than Better Than Sex Cake. This Cake is just like Sex and Pizza... When it’s good--It’s Good...and When it’s bad--It’s Still Good.

Behold

PIZZA SEX CAKE

INGREDIENTS:

- French Vanilla Cake Mix

- 3 Eggs

- Vegetable Oil

- 40-50 Strawberries

- 2 Tbsp Sugar

- 2 Boxes of Banana Cream Pudding

- 4 Cups of Milk

- 8oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese (Softened)

- 1/4 Cup Butter (Softened)

- 1 Tub of Whip Cream

- 20-30 Nilla Wafers

DIRECTIONS:

PUDDING MIX:

- Start of with your pudding mixture first as we will have to let it set by chilling. In a medium size bowl mix Pudding Powder and Milk per the box directions. Typically you have to beat/whisk/mix the pudding for 2 minutes or until homogenous. Refrigerate.

- In a separate bowl, mix your Philadelphia Cream Cheese and Butter. 

- Once your Pudding is set and chilled add your Cream Cheese Butter mixture. Mix until no lumps show.

- Fold in tub of Whip Cream.

CAKE MIX

- We will want to start the cake mix right after the pudding as this will be the longest leg of the dessert. With mixing and baking in mind we are looking at 30-40mins

- Make your cake mix per the box directions. Most likely you will have to mix cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water.

- Bake in the oven per box instructions.

- Once baked - set aside and allow to cool.

STRAWBERIES:

- Wash your strawberries.

- Hull your strawberries and dice into small pieces.

- In a medium bowl mash your strawberries into a mush.

- You may need to add sugar depending if your strawberries are in season. My strawberries were a bit tart so I added 2 Tbsp of Sugar.

ASSEMBLY:

- Poke holes in your cake.

- Drizzle/Spread the Strawberry Mush over your poked cake.

- Cover with Pudding Creation

- Finally, Top with crushed Nilla Wafers.

- Serve Chilled and Refrigerate. 

DIG IN

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

- The Philly Cream Cheese and Butter can make the Pudding truly rich in flavor. So you can either do without or use the Pudding Mixture sparingly.
