I don’t understand why a lot of people hate jekyde

I don’t understand selfcest ship hate in general for that matter, but I do kind of understand why people may be uncomfortable with it? I just can’t really find it in me to hate selfcest ships because if anything it’s just kind of funny to me, not in like a “if you ship it I’m making fun of you” way but more of a “hrmm interesting to consider” way. I think the ship is pretty interesting in a story sense way. to be fair though the way I interpret the ship considering my versions of the characters is in like a very specific and metaphorical way that might be hard to explain but yeah. let the old man have a situationship with the manifestation of all his repressions
