Dear Star Wars fandom,
We wish you all the luck in the world with The Force Awakens. We know the pain of prequel trilogies (though we laughed at you then). Our only hope is that you will forgive our naivety. Although we were older than you, our pride made us young and soon came to be our downfall. Thank you for understanding and dealing with our bull shit the past 3 Decembers. It's your time to shine now. Hold nothing back. Prove to us there is some hope for sequels and not all big franchises are doomed to be riddled with shitty CGI and overblown action sequences with forced romances and rehashed plots *looks at Age of Ultron* Or that they focus too much on being "nostalgic" and leave the film dripping with random dialogue that's supposed to make you feel "sorry" for characters and oozing with countless plot holes *glances at Jurassic World* Be a "Mad Max", if you can. Be new but be familiar. Have a good plot, even if it's incredibly simple. Have good characters. Great characters. Be sad, too. Make us cry. Add that weight. Good luck!
