Leaning forwards, Kuro watched the other curiously. It was not often that she saw a human alive for so long. Especially not when they had been captured by Aogiri. What was more, they didn’t seem to be too injured - a few cuts, but no broken bones yet.
Upon further inspection of the other, a small inkling of recognition planted itself in her mind. Tugging at a memory that the teen didn’t even know she had. The ghoul pushed the feeling away, frowning slightly.
“You wear a different badge.”
Falling back onto the stool that was placed opposite the chair the prisoner was bound to, the teen looked down at her nails, studying the blood that had dried underneath them from her previous activity. Her actions weren’t threatening, or monstrous, but their was something intrinsically inhuman about her. Something dangerous, and well hidden.
“Who do you work for, then?”
Kuro assumed she was to kill the girl - that was the only reason she was ever brought to this place. But, this was the first time that someone from a different organisation than the CCG had been captured, and the teen was intrigued.

Alice assumed, from the amount of people within the room, that it was very loud. The dull ache behind her ears also clued the teen in to this fact. Adjusting the strap of her bag on her shoulder, her head angled downwards and hair fell in front of her face. She didn’t want to be here. She didn’t need to be here.
She had the skills already, she had been trained to fight better than SHIELD would be able to. It was a useless formality and she didn’t want to be here.
Finding a spot at the front of the classroom - if the random collection of chairs and tables could be called that - Alice made sure that she could see the instructor at all times. Hopefully, they wouldn’t turn away and talk at the same time.
Glancing to the clock, she decided to continue reading her book for the ten minutes remaining until the session was scheduled to start. Feet resting on the edge of her chair and knees to her chest, Alice studied the text carefully.
It was only when she sensed a change in atmosphere that she looked up, noticing that the instructor had entered to room. Lowering her legs, Alice didn’t move her eyes from their mouth as the lesson began, too concentrated on reading their lips to notice her surroundings.
@jeanhanson asked:
STOP PRETENDING TO BE OKAY
The girl paused, knife halfway through a block of butter as Jean spoke - screamed. They had been talking, or at least Jean had been talking and Alice had been nodding so as not to upset the other. Her mind was elsewhere, like it usually was as of late.
After the incident, even after everything was cleared up and SHIELD had taken her back, she wasn’t the same. She didn’t focus, dissasociating far more than she used to. It hadn’t affected her work - if anything she had gotten better in the field, but she was different. As if a quietly concealed rage was always on the brink of exploding.
Cutting through the butter and dropping it onto the scales, Alice looked up at her friend.
“What do you mean?”

“You want me to . . help you?”
Looking up from where she was sat, replacing the blades on her skates, Yuki frowned. The hockey player was familiar - one of the ones who practiced before she had the rink booked every day - but they had never approached her before.
During the times she had watched their practice, either because it had run late or she had arrived early, this one always seemed to be good. But they struggled with footwork, as the coach often shouted.
“Why? Isn’t there hockey expert better suited?”

Mirai had been warned about SHIELD.
It wasn’t outright - no one knew enough of them to speak so openly, but the message was passed through hurried whispers in empy corridors, with glances to and fro that ensured their privacy.
She had not been warned about how smart they could be.
She was tranquilised up at 4:37am, the sun was just peeking above the horizon. She didn’t wake up until 6:09am, the following day.
Upon waking up, the teen found herself locked in a room just a little too small for her to be comfortable. Mirai always hated being closed off. She sat int he room, doing nothing more than staring at the wall and wondering what she had done wrong to warrant this, when the door was opened.
She had expected shouting, voilence -- someone barging in to hurt her before leaving again. Instead she was greeted by a face not much older than her own, and a voice that conveyed kindness even in such a situation.

This could be another perfectly successful mission, but them, that agent appeared to disrupt everything. As her mentors always said, SHIELD always finds a way to ruin things. But Scarlett still could take care of the situation. She points her gun the the other woman.
"Wrong place, wrong time, agent."
