So I was diagnosed with EDS extremely early in life, before I can even remember. I understand how incredibly lucky I am to have had that happen, I know it can take upward of ten (10) years to get a diagnosis once you start showing symptoms.
I'm lucky that I already knew the answer to my problems before it became disabling.
Still, I find myself jealous of those who are finding the answers to their problems in new light, they have a moment of clarity, a moment of, "it all makes sense now."
I don't get that, I'm upset that I don't get that feeling. I start having a new problem and when I look into it a little it's always the EDS. I get feelings of, "of course it's that," "why wouldn't it be that,"
I'm privileged in having known from a young age that I have EDS, but I want to have those moments of clarity, the moment of puzzle pieces finally falling into place...
