But for me personally, I used to tag it as lamia because that’s what most people used, then I switched to naga because nagas seemed to mean more as “snake+people” at the time, while when I searched up lamia they were like a group of monsters with similar traits? like there's a child eating one, and there’s another that seduced men so they could eat them etc. But then when I searched up naga it was also specific, semi-divine beings with relation to Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, and since I don’t know enough to use the term, right now I just call him Snake Sans. I still tag as either of them on ao3 or tumble for example, so it’d be easier for people to search up.

Sometimes I’d consider him a lamia though, because of the relation to the? Empusai? (jsadhks I’m no pro at mythology, this is just stuff I found while googling stuff up, I apologize if I’m wrong ;w;) Where they like.. seduce men before they eat them...

Sans is a male, but there doesn’t seem? to be the male equivalent for lamia? So I call him lamia, specifically if he has the quality of... being a bit like a seducer... but that’s just me.

I don’t know, maybe they thought they could balance marinette’s obsession with him by having Adrien being obsessed with ladybug liking him back and making her feel bad about rejecting him
