hey indulge i think someone tagged you and asked if you llamas and bananas bits were lamias or nagas. smth about them being technically different. I was only asking too because now I'm curious djdjshsj. Have a noice day <3
Oh yeah, I see that! This one, from @alittlebrokenstarā right? Sorry it took a while to answer /w\;
But for me personally, I used to tag it as lamia because thatās what most people used, then I switched to naga because nagas seemed to mean more asĀ āsnake+peopleā at the time, while when I searched up lamia they were like a group of monsters with similar traits? like there's a child eating one, and thereās another that seduced men so they could eat them etc. But then when I searched up naga it was also specific, semi-divine beings with relation to Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, and since I donāt know enough to use the term, right now I just call him Snake Sans. I still tag as either of them on ao3 or tumble for example, so itād be easier for people to search up.
Sometimes Iād consider him a lamia though, because of the relation to the? Empusai? (jsadhks Iām no pro at mythology, this is just stuff I found while googling stuff up, I apologize if Iām wrong ;w;) Where they like.. seduce men before they eat them...
Sans is a male, but there doesnāt seem? to be the male equivalent for lamia? So I call him lamia, specifically if he has the quality of... being a bit like a seducer... but thatās just me.
Other times Iād call him just Snake Sans. Skelesnake? Not sure *shrugs*
