I had an idea tonight for how JD17's Just Dance Machine could be canon:
The alien spaceship/abduction "plotline" (if there's enough cutscenes to call it that) is all an in-universe urban legend about how an extraterrestrial themed stage venue was founded. The way the coaches switch by the push of a button isn't literal, it just hosts various regular performers for short skits on a rotating schedule.
The reason I don't think Just Dance Machine could be taken 100% at face value is, while we know aliens exist in the Danceverses...the plotline is that aliens are unwillingly taking people from Earth to power their ship with dance moves. Which they wouldn't need to do in the Danceverses, where they could easily land their spaceship in Dancity and pay someone to spin around a few times for them.
But at the same time, I don't wanna say it's completely noncanon... just because these routines are fun and the idea that they're not real in the Danceverses makes me sad : (
I know I've referenced it vaguely, but something that recently came out renewed by interest in sharing this idea.
So...Cat. We know her from Problem. Yes, the name is surprisingly canon!
We also know - from the same source that her name came from - her ex-boyfriend is named Keenen, and he's player 2 of Finesse.
Guess what we also know? Cat was in high school when she knew him.
Now, let's segway to something else.
Phone Girl. We know her from Without Me, and My Name Is. Ever gotten the sense that she looks...familiar?
And also, ever seen littlesiha's lore video about Wannabe where we learn that the Without Me crew formed in high school?
What inspired me to make this post is the journalist Yakini avatar. JOURNALIST Yakini, who is player 4 of Finesse. So we know that Yakini and Keenen know each other.
You wanna know who an aspiring journalist would want to hang out with? Someone who's girlfriend (or ex girlfriend) is a new, upcoming superhero.
Really, though, it's Bang that ties Phone Girl and Cat together. Bang has a superhero comic vibe along with curly pink hair, but you know what else it has? The pop art style of lips that looks strikingly similar to what we see in Problem.
Phone Girl is Cat.
I think Hatsune Miku might actually be canon to the Danceverses (and here's why)
This thought came to me late last night, as I was laying in bed around midnight.
We all famously know that, as of Sugar, Fix from Built For This is dating a carrot.
The carrot is from PoPiPo, a Hatsune Miku routine.
Either Sugar ISN'T canon...or PoPiPo is. Which do we think is more likely:
1) Sugar, the basis of The Bride and Rasputin's relationship that's spanned across several maps, isn't canon
or
2) Hatsune Miku is a popular (probably still fictional) character in the Danceverses, and player 2 of PoPiPo is a Hatsune Miku cosplayer
or
3) Hatsune Miku is just...real in the Danceverses
My bet is on option number 2. But what this means is...if a Hatsune Miku routine is at least partially part of the canon, that means the loremaster messed up, and tie-in routines like that can be canon to a degree sometimes. Because a PoPiPo coach is in Sugar, the only other explanation is that Sugar isn't completely canon, even though we have no other reason to think that.

Just Dance routine of the day
Jack & Jack - Groove [Originally on Just Dance 2017]
[Video Credit: Just Dance like all star]
Trivia:
The official Just Dance channel published an interview/house tour with Jack & Jack after the routine got revealed.
The routine was performed by Jerky Jessy and Alexinho Mougeolle respectively.
So...Now that we can seriously talk about lore...What about the 'Radical' robot coach ?
