I haven’t planned it out completely; you’re completely right that the twins would destroy anyone who dared to “cheat” on their sibling. But it was going to be at a Big Fancy New Year’s Party that Taako, as a famous chef, was invited to attend. And wherever Taako goes, Lup goes, and every event organizer in New York knows this by now. So it ends up that each twin gets an invite and a plus one. So they bring their plus ones.

So obviously the two “couples” get separated during the party and end up with the person they’re actually in love with, and let’s be real, it’s probably Taakitz who fucks it up, and honestly probably Kravitz. This poor gay boy has had a glass of champagne and is hanging out with a Very Pretty Boy and idk the Tension is High and they probably just kiss or something and then there’s an explosive “WHAT THE FUCK YOU’RE MY SISTER’S BOYFRIEND” and Kravitz, who is in Too Deep is like ohnoohgodwaitnoI’mgay which only makes it WORSE, and there’s a Scene

At which point Lup arrives to see Taako screeching at this boy and she’s kind of like oh NO Taako it’s fine it was fake the whole time! And then of course Barry doesn’t seem terribly concerned that his “boyfriend” was with another guy at this party and oh yeah that’s fake too and they all have a good meltdown over how ridiculous their lives have been for the last month, but like... a good meltdown with a fair amount of laughter.

It definitely snows in Vorbarr Sultana! I picture it with a lot of cold and snow in the winter with more snow than rain in general. Warm but not overbearing summers. A slightly less intense Montreal, maybe?

Yes -- there is snow and ice. In Winterfair Gifts, the whole garden is covered in ice and snow and of course Miles wants be OUTSIDE in it.

I know that feeling. Listening to Captain Vorpatril’s Alliance audiobook was the *weirdest thing* VOR-pa-tril is how I always thought of it. And it kept coming vor-PAT-tril.
