Every queer person making "profound" tweets about how the right doesn't want us to exist, and how it's a fundamental sociopolitical problem are glossing over one very important fact. Pleading for help isn't working. Those with the power to help us are unwilling, those who are willing lack the power. We are under violent attack, there's no more awareness to spread, if someone is ignorant to the issue, it's because they don't care to know. Nobody but ourselves are going to protect us, if you're able to, arm and train yourself. Take first aid and trauma classes. If you consider yourself an ally, do the same. Build your community and become your defense, none in power will defend you themselves.

I swear to GOD, there are so many whites on tumblr (read: tankies on Tumblr) tryna talk about how RR/JBGC is made up of whites only blah blah blah, like, I'm not gonna pretend that they are above criticism (no org is, stop playing), but god DAMMIT, if these fucking yts don't stop pretending like the black and brown folks in RR don't exist??? I'm tired!!!!!! The white ppl in RR are doin a good thing. They are putting their bodies on the line, they are doing the emotional and intellectual labor many can not and choose not to do. They would literally take bullets for their black and brown comrades. But more importantly!!!!!!! There are BLACK AND BROWN people in this org that are going right into enemy lines to do what they feel is necessary to combat white supremacy. Black and brown people are walking alongside these white people into fucking gun shows and trump marches to talk to people, to counter recruit away from white supremacy (counter recruit, btw doesn't mean they take people into their org, just that they lead them away from groups like te KKK), and to fucking stand, fuckig ARMED in front of screaming trump supporters and fascists, and the police, because they want to protect their people and their communities, which just so happen to include the white people in RR. If you are a yt person on tumblr who erases these beautiful, brave, black and brown members of RR just because you feel like you wanna shit on something that's off to a good start and to do so you need everyone in that thing to be white, how. Fucking. Dare. You.
