///"Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens." --- Maria Augusta von Trapp/// . . This past weekend, I was invited by friends to go to an outdoor orchestral concert in a local botanical garden. π΅π΅π΅ The prospect of it was very exciting... π . . This was something I wouldn't have dreamed of doing years ago! I would've been too nervous, too tentative about the people, the plants, the pollen, THE AIR!!! What if.... What if.... What if...? But I'm not living that way anymore. There's a bigger picture out there.... . . A fellow post transplant patient asked me recently (after telling me about all her cool trips/adventures - cruises and mountain climbing, etc.), "Where have you been, what have you done?" Ughhh..... Nowhere. Nothing. π . . Yes, I have chronic rejection. Yes, I have CVID. JRA. Auto immune disease. Gastoparesis. Immunehypogylcemia. ETC. ETC. My situation is "complicated." ..... π·π€π€ . . But, I'm going to go on adventures, anyway. Despite all that! They may be small to others, but they'll be mountains to me. πππππ . . . #transplant #tranplantlife #butstillbreathing #lungtransplant #doublelungtransplant #chronicrejection #posttransplant #bronchiolitisobliterans #primarygraftdysfunction #resilience #adventurer #climbingmountains #aftertransplant #music #jazztoes #outdoorfestival #shangrilaorangetexas #shangrila (at Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center)
