Heard this cesspool of a website might be getting shut down or something so uh damn, here's the euology before the funeral from yours truly, fvnervl.
Met some cool people on here, some of them became my bestfriends, shouts out Tim Lyu, Tim Douglas, Gary Walker and Justin Shih without you guys I probably wouldn't be alive still.
As a wise scholar once told me at an izakaya,
"Rest in the pieces"

“This Mess Is My Mess” by Horse Head prod. by Fish Narc
The whole emo-singing-Soundcloud-rap wave can be traced back to three sources entirely, as far as I’m concerned. The first is Bones’ Surrenderdorothy side project. The second is a lesser known Soundcloud OG named Yung JZA. The third is this man right here, Horse Head, and one of his greatest songs in particular, “Numb”. Due to his status as an innovator in this particular subgenre, checking out “This Mess Is My Mess” is an absolute must. Add in the fact that one of the style’s best new producers, Fish Narc, handled all of these instrumentals himself, makes this a particularly worthwhile project for those who love angsty, heartbreak-themed trap music.

“Prom Date” by Cold Hart
The whole meme surrounding “clout” and Soundcloud rap is getting a bit tiresome at this point, but it wouldn’t be used so much if it didn’t strike such a powerful chord. Any and everyone in the scene seems to fiending for the abstract currency that’s taken the place of actual, real U.S. dollars. Thankfully though, we still have one artist that’s moved past all the bullshit, and that artist is Cold Hart. One of my favorite aspects of Cold Hart’s approach to music is the fact that he works with whoever happens to be right for the job. A producer on his album could be the most unknown beat-maker on Soundcloud, but if his instrumental is right, it’ll still make the project. That’s the type of ego-less, music-driven approach to artistry that the underground needs more of, and I wish more big names would utilize the strategy.
