side note: grammarly is a life-saver, i’m not remotely kidding
a) it is really good at catching correctly-spelled words that are contextually-wrong, which i know can be tough for a lot of people, for a lot of reasons
b) it’s a great spell-checker, i actually gotta ignore it a lot (no, grammarly, i’m making a shitpost on tumblr dot com, i’m not gonna use the word criterion even tho i am using the plural)
c) this is a BIG ONE: if you highlight a word on a webpage, it’ll bring up a dictionary definition! and guess what! it includes activism words! i’ve tested it on a few words that basic spellchecks tend to see as misspelled or w/e bc they’re rarely intuitively up to date, but this one is! it’s so good?
d) related to the above, if you highlight a word in a working document (like this tumblr post im making rn) it’ll immediately bring up a list of synonyms, like how cool is this?
e) it’s free! iirc you do have to sign up, i can look more into it if anyone’s curious, but i think it was really easy, just a lil tedious. but then it works on all webpages (unless you disable it, which you can!), things like microsoft, and comes w/ its own word editor that imo is really nice
