Because I got another ask asking for Agatha Harkness (because I guess everyone is just able to read me for filth aflkjakfdls), I’ll go with my longstanding fave, Alex Danvers.
First impression: Ugh, she’s really mean and kind of annoying. I really don’t like her.
Impression now: Love of my life that I highkey relate to in a lot of ways! Goddamn, that older sibling syndrome hits hard.
Favorite moment: That’s hard to decide... I think I’ll go with the moment where she admits to Kara that she killed Astra, just because that scene gets me every time.
Idea for a story: I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again: DANVERS SISTERS BODYSWAP SHENANIGANS!
Unpopular opinion: I’ve got several, but maybe I’ll just go with, she’s not appreciated nearly enough and I absolutely hate that.
Favorite relationship: Danvers sisters, obviously.
Favorite headcanon: Man, I know I’ve had several but I can’t think of all of them right now! Of the ones I remember, I think my favorite is that as a teen, she spent a lot of time just messing with Kara in various ways and claiming that she was doing it as an “experiment” to “test her powers.” Which wasn’t exactly a lie--she was curious about Kara’s powers after all--but also she was definitely mostly doing all that just to mess with Kara, in classic older sister fashion.
For the WIP ask, Sometimes It's Lonely? It gives me Kara Feelings vibes and I love that.

i have a set of stories that are all matched to songs from an album called Go Back Home (there are 12 tracks; i’ve got drafts for about half). this story goes with “The Glamorous Life,” which is narrated by a 13-year-old girl who’s simultaneously proud of her mom for having an unconventional life and traveling far away while also longing for an “ordinary mother” to be there with her day to day.
i flip these stories back and forth between Kara & Alex’s points of view, but the mom issues were just perfect for Kara given that she lives this struggle through her relationships with Alura and Eliza.
the fic itself is set shortly after the events in 2x15 with Jeremiah’s betrayal, the alien deportations, and everyone’s favorite face acting scene:

i haven’t finished it yet (there are three versions so far lol) because i keep bouncing back and forth on the tone and how much to add extra flashbacks/asides versus staying focused on Kara’s emotions in the present, BUT. this one is an exchange between Kara and Eliza at a time when Kara’s feeling very disempowered-- she’s just been fired, things are a mess with her family, and then her scare with the spaceship is also making her think back to her own experience leaving Krypton in the pod. so Kara’s narration is a bit of a swirling chaos of memories and intense emotions, but there’s a steady grounding to reality with Eliza just being patient and encouraging while Kara sorts out her thoughts.

For the Doctor Who ask meme, questions 3, 31 and 32
3. First DW episode you ever saw? That would be “The Eleventh Hour.” Some of my college friends were rewatching some Doctor Who episodes before the new season at the time started (which I believe was series 7 at the time) and they started with “the Eleventh Hour” for those of us who hadn’t seen any eps of Doctor Who before. The episode intrigued me enough to watch more episodes, though I did not take one of my friends’ advice to either start right from series 5 or to start from series 2. Instead, I started from series 1. 31. Favourite episode ever? Oof, this is hard for me to pick off the top of my head! I want to say “Heaven Sent,” but I feel like everyone says that. So, hmm. Maybe “The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances”? ...wait, that’s two episodes. Or maybe “Vincent and the Doctor”? It’s my favorite historical, at least. 32. Least favourite episode? Also hard to pick off the top of my head. Can I just be lazy and say, “Love and Monsters”?
