What happens when you're Dave Hause and you get your buddies together to cover a bunch of punk rock songs late-night in Asbury Park? You have yourself a Hooligan Holiday, presented by Sea Hear Now and the Asbury Park Football Club and @asburyparkfc. Dave and his Mermaids (Tim Hause, Miles Bentley on bass, Kevin Conroy on drums) were joined by members of The Bouncing Souls, The Beach Rats, Bad Religion, Blind Melon, The Gaslight Anthem, The Explosion, and Sick of It All to punk rock into the night.
Even Gatan Mattarazzo showed to lend a voice to Surrender by Cheap Trick.
Everyone joined in to close with True Believer by the Souls. Even included some stage diving by Jared Hart (who knew he was a Bayonne Little League All- Star!)
Helluva night at HOI to finish up Day 1 of SHN.
Retronaut Selects: Bad Religion - Age Of Unreason (2019)
Bad Religion is a band that I’ve always known about.
It was always a name I knew, and whatever I heard was always awesome.
There is no such thing as a bad, Bad Religion song.
They have a certain quality that very few bands have.
This quality is that very few artists that stay consistently great, but Bad Religion has truly stood the test of time.
Age Of Unreason is amazing, and proves that Bad Religion is still the best.
