Funny take on the mandomer au. What if Obi wan was something from the ocean as well but not the same, a selkie. Maybe he was rescued by the Jedi when he was young, one moment a volunteer was helping free a baby seal from a net and next thing they know they got their arms full of crying baby wrapped in an animal pelt. He gets raised by the group because no one can find the pod that was supposed to raise him.
Many a childhood and youthful shinnanagings later and now you have a mostly human raised Selkie who is now helping the organization who helped him. Has a habit of keeping his pelt on him after one too many mishaps on ships and near water.
All to say that when Jaster finally has the very pretty human tricked and is dragging Obi wan into the water to drown, instead of a sad sight of a dying person Jaster is now helmet to face of a very unamused seal who is now going for the jugular, oh gods the seal is going for the jugular and also using claws.
When the morning crew comes in there is just a very angry half naked Obi wan just yelling about consent to a very confused mermaid who didn't think the master plan was going to fall apart at the last step because selkie.

I do love this shift in the power dynamic, Jaster for all heās temporarily confined in a human habitat thought himself clever and more then capable for biting back and luring humans into complacency if he ever needed to lash out and put them in place with himself. Thinking Obi-wan was while clever then the āaverageā human was also just as stupid as them too and Jaster would teach him better.
But Obi-wan plays the same games Jaster does, except better, more tools more freedoms more knowledge then Jaster could ever have of the land and sea. He wasnāt even toying with Jaster, never bothering to treat Jaster different then he does any sentient. What Jaster thought was a polite quirk.
Jaster makes the wrong move, himself growing complacent and suddenly Obi-wan will be making sure to remind Jaster of his place with all the importance of āif I have time to stop by that isā just to irk Jasterās ego and his relevancy to Obi-wan
