What are your Jasico plans? ššš
If you don't want to spoil them by answering, how did you come to ship Jasico? Was a it a specific canon moment, a fanwork, or just general vibes?
i started making some art for one of the alternative prompts, and i've already planned oneshots for days 1,4 and 7 :)
i didn't use to ship jasico because i loved their friendship and thought that shipping them destroyed it. but a lot of songs reminded me of them and then tumblr started showing me jasico fanart and it was like, awesome. i think i don't ship them like i ship others (where i'm like "KISS!"). their relationship is deeper than just a crush for me and i love it
erm. sorry for rambling.
Jasico Week (Day 1): Song/Lyrics
an epic, in thirds (jason/nico)
Nico fights with Greek fire and appeals to his fatherās softer side, recovering what never should have been lost.
Nico scrambled on top of the ornate wood of the coffin and cleared his throat to sing.
He met his fatherās eyes across the throne room. The pallbearers, fallen soldiers--heroes, it was only appropriate--held the casket high, and Nico forced his chin up all the same. He did not hold the same tenor as his mother or sister, but itās the one weapon he had against his father.
By his side stood Apollo, strumming his ukelele and humming softly, trying to catch onto Nicoās tune. He had a bunch of flowers tucked under his arm. Reyna was opposite the mortal god, harmonizing quietly to support Nicoās vocal efforts.
Nico was just a humble boy who wants his best friend back.
Jasonās not someone he wanted to lose. Jason, who had no time, Jason, who lost everything, Jason, who emptied himself for the sake of others. His first kind hand. His first hug. His first reassurance. His first trust. His first, his favorite, his everything.
Nico conveyed all this through breaking notes and an earthquake vibrato. His voice was worn with disuse. He didnāt sing, and never this much. But maybe the glint in Hadesā eyes was a stray tear. Reyna and Apollo certainly had enough, and the former squeezed Nicoās hand for support, stifling a noise into her hand before joining his chorus again.
Nico sang every song he knew. Every hymn, every Italian lullaby, every radio rock song, every new tune that camp infected him with. And when he ran out of ideas, he reverted to autobiography. His life, the events that matter the most. Jasonās consolation in Split. Jasonās open arms at Camp Half-Blood. Jasonās kind eyes, genuine smile, heartfelt attitude. Itās awkward, itās painful, but Apolloās strumming smooths over the rougher melodies.
Nicoās trembling voice carried through the fields of Asphodel, the plains of Elysium, and perhaps to the depths of Tartarus. Ghosts wandered outside the palace, collecting near the hunger for life, the hunger for love that resides in Hadesā throne room. They chorus, they chant. They knew not what they thirsted for. But it was palpable, and their ghost matter became flesh, pressing the walls and gates of the palace and demanding justice.
He was thirty-eight hours in, refusing a drink from Reyna, when his father finally raised his hand.
āI have a headache.ā
Nicoās last note faded into the air.
āYouāve managed to gather quite a crowd.ā
Nico looked at all the ghosts behind him. Gray, stretching far beyond the scope of his vision.
āYour stepmother was moved.ā
The crease where the casket closes began to glow and Nico jumped off. The skeletons let the casket down and crumbled soon after. Apolloās incessant strumming stilled. He met Nicoās eyes and tears dripped down to the bouquet, which he now held for comfort. He remembered Split, wandering the streets with his mother and sister, and Favoniusā kind smile.
I knew youād return to look upon my masterās face one day.
Reyna grasped her friendās hand as the casket turned open. Perhaps all the pain to which heās been subjugated is worthy of the fate picked for him. Nico would fight it either way, and heāll keep fighting, until Jason was alive and safe and warm again.
Nico plucked one of the hyacinth and tossed it into the light of the coffin.
The underworld eventually shrouded himself in darkness again. The ghosts returned to their homes and Hadesā palace was quiet once more. The only evidence left was the well-meaning casket.
Nico di Angelo turned through the black gates and left, Jasonās fading hand in his, clarity returning to his mind and body. Apollo and Reyna trailed behind.
He didnāt open his eyes and Nico didnāt dare look back. āNico?ā Jason asked. Blind to the empty air until he became full again. He traced the back of his hand with a loving thumb. āItās you, right?ā
Nico squeezed his hand in turn.
The west wind ruffled his hair as he emerged from the underworld and witnessed blinding light. Jason, blinding, teeth, tears, hands. All of which Nico clung to. All of which he promised not to lose again.
Jason promised, too, and tucked one of Apolloās blossoms behind Nicoās darling ear.

Day 7: Free Day (NSFW)
Jason didnāt know where he did wrong. He didnāt know when he messed up so bad. And he absolutely didnāt know how they could end up like this.
It was all started with simple and casual touches. As friends. A pat on shoulders. A gentle slap on arms. Hair-ruffling. Short, friendly hugs. But then those touches started to linger more than necessary. Even he started to crave over those touches. And then they were getting closer and closer after days, and the next thing Jason knew, they were kissing.
And everything went downhill from there.
Jason couldnāt stop at kissing. Or even if he could, he realized that he didnāt want to. And then they started to make out heavily. The next day they met each other, the make out session turned into jerk off session and it lasted for few weeks until finally they went all the way.
Like today, how Jason was laying on his back, with Nicoās palms pressed against his chest, using it to support himself as he bounced himself on Jasonās dick. Nico looked so pretty like this. Flushed, and his hair messy with some strands stuck on his forehead and neck due to his sweat.
Jason liked Nico when the first time they met. After the incident with Eros, he let his feelings grew into something even bigger. But Jason messed it up somehow. He never got to confess to Nico, because somehow they ended up as friends with benefits.
Right. Just Jasonās luck.
āFuck, Jason, Iām close,ā Nico breathed heavily as he nibbled Jasonās colarbone, made Jason just as breathless.
āCome for me,ā he whispered to Nicoās earlobe, pressed a soft kiss there and he was pretty sure would go unnotice by Nico because he was too focused on his orgasm.
Jason wanted to say that he loved Nico. So much. But he wasnāt sure Nico felt the same way. And he was a selfish jerk. If he could have Nico like this, then he didnāt mind being friends with benefits, because rejection would hurt. Even though the sex had stopped being just sex for Jason. It was always making love for him.
He always touched Nico tenderly, kissed him with so much passion, as if he wanted to tell him what his true feelings were. He wasnāt brave enough to say it with words, so he did his best to channel it through his actions. And whenever Nico squirmed beneath him, touched him back or reciprocated his kiss, Jason would like to think that Nico understood and returned his feelings just as much.
Such a delusion.
āJason, Iāā Nico moaned against Jasonās neck as he cum all over Jasonās abs, and it didnāt take long for Jason to follow his suit. They laid down silently like that for a while, Nico on top of Jason while Jasonās hands automatically wrapped around him. He wanted to stay like this forever.
But of course, Nico regained his composure back and pulled away from Jason, and Jason had no other way than to let him go. Always like that. Nico never stayed.
Jason wanted him to stay though, but he was too afraid to ask. He always could only watch as Nico got dressed then grabbed a cloth to clean Jason up before he said his goodbye for today and left Jason alone in bed, miserable.
But this time, Jason wanted to change that. He wanted Nico to stay, so bad, so he could cuddle him and let him know how precious Nico was to him. How much he loved him and how special he was. Those kind of thoughts filled Jason up with courage, and before he stopped himself, he said it.
āPlease stay.ā
Nico froze during his movement to pick his shirt from the floor where it had been thrown away earlier. Jason bit his lip to stop himself from rambling.
āAre you sure?ā Nico asked.
And this time, Jason didn't hesitate as he nodded. "Yes," he said. Jason kept his gaze on Nico's eyes. They knew what it meant. Jason had let his feelings shown, and as Nico was staring back at him, Jason could feel his heart thrummed against his ribcage nervously. Ready to break anytime Nico came to his senses and then left.
But after a moment, Nico discarded his shirt and crawled back up to bed, then tucked himself against Jason's side. "I thought you'd never ask," Nico whispered, and Jason could hear a smile from his tone.
And Jason couldn't help but grinning widely as his heart bursted in joy.

Day 6: Human AU
Jason Grace was perfect. He was the captain of the baseball club. The ace pitcher as well, and he was also the 4th batter (Percy almost didn't want to make him the next captain after he graduated because, "Why should I make you even more perfect, Jason? Why?" But in the end, he did it anyway, because actually, even when Percy was still captain, Jason was the one who acted more like one than Percy himself). On top of that, he was pretty good academically, teachers loved him so much. For his fellow third years, Jason was dorky much, but they were all still liked him so much as well. And his underclassmen, all went 'Senpai notice me' on him. Everyone adored him. Everyday, he would get a lot of love letters inside his locker, some were being tied on his bike as well, but Jason always rejected all as polite as possible, didn't want to break anyone's heart (it made them fall for him even more actually, but Jason had no idea about this). "Dude, aren't you tired of this?" Leo asked one day when Jason opened his locker and all the letters fell on the floor. Jason sighed and picked them quickly so it didn't make a mess on the hall. Leo crouched down to help him as well, and he said, "Just pick one. Someone. Then everyone will know that you are taken, and it means this flood of love letters will stop. Problem solved." Jason chuckled at his best friend. He picked the last letter and then put all in his bag to read later during lunch break (yes, Jason always read them all and even replied if the sender asked him too, Leo always groaned at him when he did that though). "You know I can't do that," Jason said, led the way to their first class that day. "I can't just pick someone." Leo rolled his eyes. Jason chuckled again. "It will be hella rude. Just imagi--ouch." Jason's words got cut off when he bumped into someone. Jason quickly regained his balance and grabbed that person's arm just in case they lost their balance too due to the collide with him. Jason was aware that he wasn't small, so he knew it wouldn't be a pleasant impact. "Sorry, I should've--" Though, his words got cut off once again when he realized who did he bump into. It was Nico di Angelo. First year. The ace of judo club. Today, he got his long hair being tied into a small ponytail and he was as beautiful as ever. "Next time, watch your step, Grace. Your glasses aren't there only for decoration," Nico said shortly, gave Jason his trademark glare before walked away. And left Jason standing there as a blushing mess. Just like usual. Once Nico disappeared in the corner, Leo laughed. "Yeah, right. You can't just pick someone. If the someone who wrote you a love letter is Nico, I bet you wouldn't think twice to accept it. Alas," Leo paused to sigh deeply and dramatically, "Nico is the only person in the whole school who doesn't seem to be crushing on you." Jason couldn't argue. He was still staring dumbly at the corner where Nico disappeared earlier. He just touched Nico's arm. Nico's arm. He wouldn't wash his hand for the rest of his life. But to be honest, Leo was right. Since the very first day Jason saw Nico at the judo club one spring afternoon, Jason had tried so many ways to catch his attention. He tried to be friendly. He tried to be a good senpai. But now after four months, Nico didn't even notice him more than his name. Leo slapped Jason's arm lightly to bring him back to reality. "Come on, big guy. Let's get to class. You can think about your 'Kohai Notice Me' operation later." Jason just nodded and followed Leo. He actually had no idea what to do anymore to make Nico noticed him. *** A year had passed, and without Jason really realized, he was graduating. That year, he made ten homeruns and made their team National Champion (he saw Percy crying proudly on the tribune when their team received the trophy. When Percy was captain, they didn't win the final game and he remembered he promised Percy he would win it for him next year. And he did). He passed all of his class and got full athlete scholarship to a college. His last year as a high schooler was perfect. But it would be even more perfect with Nico. Unfortunately, even until his graduation day, Nico didn't even notice him at all. Jason couldn't help but being a little bit sulky about it. But Jason had enough. After graduation ceremony, he called Nico. The boy was present during the ceremony because he was the member of the choir group as well (his voice was angelic and Jason could guarantee that). "Can I talk to you?" Jason asked carefully, didn't want to piss Nico off by accident. Nico stared at him (it wasn't a glare this time but Jason was too nervous to realize it), and nodded. Jason smiled and gulped nervously before he led Nico to the furthest sakura tree, which was pretty secluded, away from the prying eyes. The sakura was blossoming and when Nico stood under it, with sakura petals dancing around him, he looked so ethereal Jason almost forgot how to breath. But he couldn't be speechless now. It was his last day at school. Probably the last day he would see Nico before he met him again in college, maybe, and only if Nico decided to go to the same college as him (which he was pretty sure wouldn't happen), so Jason got to say it now. "I, uh," he stuttered, "I've liked you for a while." Oh God, he finally said it. "Maybe you figured it out already for the past year since I'm not good at being subtle, but you, erm, never respond so..." The problem was, Jason wasn't good with words. So after staring at Nico's dark and warm eyes for a while without saying anything else afterwards, Jason nervously pulled out the second button of his gakuran and handed it to Nico, before he got the situation even more awkward. "So, er, please accept it," Jason said. "If you want to, I--" "No," Nico said. "I don't want your button, Jason." Jason didn't know that rejection was this painful. He froze, still staring at Nico but he felt like his heart was breaking into pieces. It was a miracle that he didn't cry immediately. Suddenly, he felt bad for the people he had rejected. Because it hurt. So damn much. "Oh," Jason said finally, retreated his hand back and let it slump on his side. His button was still inside his palm, and Jason felt like throwing it away. Jason felt so stupid. Of course. Of course. For a year, he was too busy trying to catch Nico's attention he didn't even bother to check whether Nico liked boys or not. Fuck. "I'm s--sorry," Jason said, his voice was trembling. "I didn't mean--" "Give me your gakuran, Jason." "--if you don't like me--what?" Jason blinked at Nico. Did Nico just-- "I don't need your button. I'm afraid I will lose it. It's too small. Just give me your gakuran. That way, I can keep it better. You no longer need it anyway." Jason felt like flying now. His heart recovered too fast and it was now beating rapidly against his ribcage. He was grinning so wide like an idiot, and when he caught the slight blush on Nico's face, he grinned even wider. But gladly he could catch himself and quickly took off his gakuran to give it to Nico before the younger boy changed his mind. Jason put the button he had pulled out carefully inside the pocket, and then put the gakuran gently around Nico's shoulder. As expected, it was too big, but Nico looked so good wearing it. Especially when Nico looked up at him from behind his pretty eyelashes. Nico was so close he could almost count the eyelashes. Oh, wait. Nico was too close. And the next thing Jason realized, it was Nico's warm lips against his. Jason's heart broke again. Bursted into million pieces of happiness. The kiss didn't last long though. Nico pulled away as fast as he leaned in earlier. But he looked happy and Jason couldn't help but swoon. "Wait for me. I will enter your college after I graduate," Nico said, smiled a bit this time, and Jason nodded. "Of course I will." It turned out his graduation day was the most perfect graduation ever. *** Jason didn't have to wait for long. It was just a year before he finally saw Nico sitting on his bed at the doorm with a big suitcase with him. "What are you doing here?" Jason said, closed the door behind him. Maybe he was dreaming? Nico shouldn't be here in college. He supposed to be here next year. Maybe he ran away from home? Oh God-- "Stop thinking anything stupid," Nico stopped him on time. "I'm a genius, remember? I decided to graduate early because two years is too long. So, hello, Grace. I'm your roommate now." And if afterwards he broke the bedframe as he tackled Nico too hard against the bed to hug him, nobody should know. *** Author's Note: as you can see, I'm using Japanese school as a model in here. The club I mention is also the popular clubs in Japanese school I think (at least from what I read in the manga), and YES. THEY ARE WEARING GAKURAN AS UNIFORM. I'M NOT SORRY, I AM WEAK TOWARDS GAKURAN. And also, the second button tradition is a popular tradition in Japan as well.
Day 5: God Swap
Nico di Angelo was a hero, and everything Jason wanted to be. He was seventeen years old, only two years older than Jason, though when he was Jason's age, he already won the battle against Kronos. And he also just won another battle against Gaea few weeks ago. He was amazing, but he was also more than that. Nico knew no fear. He was the one who saved Jason years ago when he was trapped inside the Lotus. He was also the one who was being there for him when Thalia died after joining Artemis' hunter. Jason always looked up to him. Nico was everyone's hero, but for Jason, he was even more special. Nico rarely smiled, but when he did, Jason always savored those moments. Jason loved the way he ruffled his hair after he did the sword play right or something good in general. Sometimes he treated Jason like a kid, but most of the times, he didn't, and that made Jason even happier. It wasn't long before Jason realized that his admiration had turned into something else entirely. Though, Jason didn't do anything about his feelings towards Nico. Because Nico was perfect. The hero. The Son of Zeus. While Jason? Jason was The Son of Hades. And to make it more pathetic, he was afraid of the dark. So when the first time Jason found out he had to power to control shadows, he wasn't thrilled. He was terrified. He was being angry at that time, and when the shadows around him started to get thicker, his heart almost stopped due to the fear. And Nico was the one who pulled him out of the shadows. Ever since, Jason always tried to control his emotion, so he didn't have to use his shadow power anymore. So, yes, Jason didn't have any rights to harbor any feelings for Nico. He wasn't worth it. The Son of Hades who was afraid of the dark and couldn't even unlock his true potential didn't have place near the Son of Zeus. "What're you doing here?" Nico's voice snapped Jason back to reality. Right, whenever Jason had his insecure thoughts, somehow Nico would always be there to cut his negative thoughts short. What a wonderful coincidence. "Nothing, just being lazy," Jason answered as he grinned a little and fix his glasses. He got the glasses from Nico as his fifteenth birthday present. Nico was the first one who realized that he needed it, and he also said that Jason looked good in it (no, Jason didn't wear it only because of that reason, mind you). "Being lazy is nice," Nico commented, sat himself down next to Jason on the beach sand. The sun was setting right on the horizon and the color of the sky around started to get even prettier. Though Jason's eyes were on Nico's figure only, didn't really bother to watch the sunset because Nico was more beautiful. "But I also can feel your anxiety from miles apart," Nico commented again, looked at Jason from behind his dark locks which frame his face perfectly. "What is it in your mind, Grace?" Jason didn't want to tell him. He was already so pathetic in front of Nico. No need to add more into the pathetic pile. But Nico was staring at him intently and it made Jason panic a bit, so in the end he stuttered, "I--I just hate the fact that I'm afraid of the dark. I supposed to be the Son of Hades. But maybe they made a mistake." Jason expected Nico to laugh. But he didn't. He just kept staring at Jason with an unreadable expression, and the reached his hand out to fix Jason's glasses for him. "Let me tell you a secret, Jason," he said gently which made Jason's heart fluttered. "I'm afraid of heights." Jason blinked. "Huh?" And Nico chuckled at Jason's confusion. "Yeah. That's true. Bianca and I are both Zeus' kids, but Bianca is the only one who can fly. Now you know why." Jason still blinked. He saw Bianca flew some times, and he never saw Nico did it, but he always thought that it was because Nico didn't want to do it. Now, it made a lot of sense. "So," Nico continued, ruffled Jason's hair with a soft manner he always showed around Jason, "The Son of Hades who's afraid of the dark and The Son of Zeus who's afraid of heights. Aren't we such a cute pair?" And when Nico grinned widely at him, Jason couldn't help but did the same. "Yeah. A perfect pair." *** Author's note: The theme is God Swap but then beside swapping their godly parents, I also swapped their age order, their personality and it looks like I swapped everything as well including the canon story ššš. And also, it's a day late, but please accept my humble offer orz.
