Edo in the Snow.

Little Tribute to the Edo Arc with photos in my little Zen Garden which was buried in snow. Though it was not my smartest idea to take out a doll that is hard to photograph into snow. But I wanted to take some photos of Jasdavi as the only ones I took so far were the ones just after I finished the doll T_T

Just......why?

Like....WHY?!

WiP - Jasdavi - Face up

Jasdavi was a challenge to paint. I got the doll in a normal tone but I knew I hat to paint at least the head in another color.

I was not sure which one to choose as the newer illustrations all show the Noah with a more brown skintone while all older ones show them with a gray one, the anime has a deep gray and urgh...

I decided to mix something that would hopefully be something between gray and brown to compromise here.

The downside is as I still don't own an airbrush the surface is very textured due the use of a sponge but it's more even like this.

While the head dried I worked on the hands. Jasdavi wears gloves but I still refuse to sew doll sized gloves with fingers so I cheat and paint the hands.

Due the rough surface painting details wasn't exactly easy and blushing was a bit of a challenge as well.

But as I went on I decided to give Jasdavi eyebrows and the Stigmata bc i think they are clearly missing in the OG design.

And as you can see I really started to fall in love with this silly head, this was a peak choice for Jasfabi i am so in love.

Here you can see the head actually shifts color! Just like I had intended it shifts between gray and brown depending on light and angle, this makes me so happy with the progress.

And a small snapshot of the finished doll, the light is awful these days but I think i can take a few more snaps soon!
