Jane Garvey (b. 1944) is the chairman of Meridiam North America. Between 1997 and 2002 she served as the first female Administrator of the US Federal Aviation Administration.
One of the key problems tackled during her tenure was the sexual harassment prevalent at FAA, which she tried to solve by actively hiring more women, and implementing special training and accountability measures for the staff. She held executive positions at numerous companies throughout her career, and has received honors such as the Sentinel of Safety or Woman of the Year Award.
