Aside from compiling more info on my language (we've moved from verbs to nouns now), I need to come up with ideas for the two research papers I have for my classes this semester. For my Jane Austen class I'm thinking about focusing on her "hero" vs "villain" male characters in Sense & Sensibility, Pride & Prejudice and Mansfield Park (we haven't begun Northanger Abbey yet and I'm not sure we'll get to it with how this semester has been). I'm not sure what to do for my American lit course; I can't write on Emily Dickenson again since that was my research paper from my poetry class with the same professor last semester lol. I usually stick to topics on gender over race since I don't feel qualified to speak on race in literature, being white. Other students who have lived with the themes discussed by some of the authors could better speak on the topic than I could, and I want to be sure they have that space to do so. I may branch out and focus on different themes this time though, I just can't decide which ones yet.
Other than research paper decisions and conlang stuff, I have a small assignment for my American lit class that's due tomorrow (and when I say small, I mean like, a 1 page response to something). That shouldn't take too long. This week has been nice and peaceful so I know next week is about to be mean and stressful.
I just watched Pride & Prejudice for the 50th time :P
I shall never ever ever get tired of that movie. Forever my favorite movie in the whole wide world. <3
