It would be thematically pleasing for both Democrats to win, it would feel like the climax of an underdog political movie, the Hollywood ending everyone expects, but I don’t think that’s what’s going to happen.  Even if Warnock and Ossoff win, Republicans will try their hardest to undermine the results, which will probably lead to two vacancies going into January 20th (which would give the Republicans a 50-48 majority, something they’d be more likely to accept than a 50-50 tie giving the Democrats the majority).  IF nobody wins, Republicans still win, so I’d keep an eye out for this outcome.

More likely, I think Georgia is just a lost cause, and Loeffler and Perdue will win.  Maybe it’ll be close, but old white Georgians are going to fuck it up for everyone and give Mitch McConnell another six years as majority leader (if the Democrats couldn’t flip the Senate in 2020, I doubt they have a chance of flipping it in 2022, and 2024 is out of the question if the Republicans pick another candidate like Trump).  Reality isn’t a movie, there isn’t dramatic irony, villains don’t get their comeuppances, underdogs don’t always win, good doesn’t always triumph over evil.  Evil people have all the power in Georgia, and they’re probably not gonna let themselves be voted out.
