i think the only reason he even slightly remembered nishiki is cuz of the stress he was under when they were fighting tbh
yeah i think so too. but i also think it was specifically because nishiki was trying to recreate stress kaneki had experienced before. because like, haise was under stress when he met hinami (after all that shit seidou did to him), but he doesn’t remember her.
