I know I have something to gush about with almost every track of Rain World's soundtrack, and I have to say I greatly appreciate the way James Primate got the track Threat - Superstructure so well. Because it's more abstracted as from the symptoms of a song, it lends itself closer to a loop of ambient noise.
There's one sound in particular that stands out, this gentle, mildly musical droning ping sound. I've seen it compared to a sonar/radar blip or ping, it can also sound like water dripping slowly onto metal, or my favorite interpretation, the echoes of a shard of metal or a rock falling down a long pipe, analogous to the distance you've risen, the alien environment, and how far you can fall.
It's sometimes interrupted with a skipping ping or a higher ping to remind you that it's a song.
Most of the song is a low, menacing drone that definitely ties into the y-know, deathtrap environment.

The fact that James Primate is my second most listened to artist this year. Spotify wrapped playlist is so weird cause I'll go from some indie music to Threat - Shoreline. Don't get me started on randomly hearing Threat - Superstructure.
