Organizer Joe Bogdanovich marks the event a success. "It's hard to be free. Everybody worked for free. The artistes worked for free. The sponsors were also working together as opposed to being competitive. As a result, the sense of giving was there, and it brought a spirit of togetherness needed the music business fraternity, and to all the patrons and citizens. I think the show, the performances and the execution of the television aspect of production went well. The performances were up to the marks we were hoping to get. Total togetherness and harmony and spirit. I think we achieved that," Bogdanovich told THE STAR. "Behind the scenes, the mix of music and stars, representing the wide variety of musical genres that we have here, was very warm and upbeat and enthusiastic." Bogdanovich said. Donations to the Caribbean Love Now hurricane relief effort will remain open for the rest of the year. "The donations are going through December. You can still go online a make a pledge... Make donations and go to Hardware and Lumber companies, bring Christmas spirit. The message is so important," he said. @Regranned from @caribbeanlovenow - On Wednesday night, the National Indoor Sports Complex created a frame of possibilities, demonstrating the capacity of local promoters to congregate with many of the entertainment industry's giants and even the nation's leaders. In an effort to raise money to help the hurricane-ravaged islands of the Lesser Antilles, owner of the Reggae Sumfest franchise Joe Bogdanovich organised a monumental concert, the Caribbean Love Now JAMATHON Benefit Concert. Hardcore dancehall deejays The concert was a pleasant blend of genres, with patrons treated to a line-up that showcased rocksteady legends (like Beres Hammond), reggae pioneers (including Freddie McGregor), so-called reggae revivalists (including Jesse Royal and Protoje), and hard-core dancehall deejays (like Tommy Lee Sparta). The JAMATHON stage also supported soca stars Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons. During JAMATHON, stars who were not performing had the chance to interact directly with the nation's leaders backstage.
