#jam time

1 pound of strawberries (literally just a pack)

2 cups of white sugar

1/8 of a cup of lemon juice (or lime if you have it)

1 teaspoon of vanilla

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Wash all the strawberries and cut the tops off, then cut them into quarters. Dump them all into a pot, and add your sugar.

Mash them well (I used a potato masher, but you can use a wooden spoon, a ladle, anything that'll obliterate it) and put it on the stove on medium heat, stirring until all the sugar is dissolved. It'll look like weird, slightly pulpy juice.

Stir in your lemon juice, and switch the heat to high, letting your jam come to a boil while stirring until it's noticeably darker (like wine red. There will be foam on top and that's normal!).

Your jam is gonna seem hella liquidy even though it's dark, and that's okay! Take it off of the heat and just leave it alone to cool. Once it's completely cooled, it'll firm up and become delicious jam. Store in a jar and bone apple tea babeyyy
