Brown Butter Jam Bars based on this recipe from Crepes of Wrath
You will need:
two bowls
one pot
a strainer (optional)
9x13 baking dish
room in your freezer for the baking dish
1 1/2 cups (three sticks) + 2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 1/2 cups + 2 tablespoons flour
3 room temperature eggs
1 cup regular sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
jam or jelly, whatever flavor you want (apricot in the pic above)
3 to 4 hours
