im still kinda holding a little hope that they’ll still promote as 5, maybe even 4 idk its really hhhh to see things changing and the thing that mades you happy making you sad i think thats the big thing here... if they all part ways ill still support all of them and me too, i dont think things would be bad at the moment if theyre still talking about working together you kknow?? at least thats my hope haha

+ so we get mare for the reds. evie because she’s joining mare and we need to know how she’s going to interact with them and deal with their ideas from her pov. cal i honestly dont know why. maybe he wont join the scarlet guard? idk i dont care a lot about him. iris because we need to know whats going on with the silvers and maven because we need for once to actually know what he’s thinking. +

+ that was always my thing about having a maven pov. we had other people narrate his actions and choices but we never knew what he really thought or how much of what he says/does is him or what’s left of the boy elara molded. im sure 99.9% of everything he says and does is pre calculated on how it will best bring him what he wants and im so excited to finally see how his mind works

I agree. I can see that Cal, Iris, and Maven have reasons to be included as POVs, I don’t deny that. But do we need to see all three of them (plus Eve)? Iris and Maven will be together, I suppose (although Maven might only have one or two chapters more about himself than the plot). Cal and Eve are in one place. They’re in one place with Mare right now, and the excerpt we had shows that they’ll continue to be in the same place. What’s the point of letting each of them narrate? King’s Cage did very well with changing the POVs efficiently and only when neccessary, and if Aveyard now employs different POVs only to let them see one and the same thing from different eyes, it varies extremely from the kind of the narration in the series so far.
