Honestly, you what I have truly discovered watching JAG this time around? They were so ahead of their time with certain subjects they handled. In season 9, episode 15 Harm and Mac investigate an F18 crash, they rule it as a possible suicide. His CO gets an article 32 hearing for the way he handled a potential suicidal comment from the pilot who crashed.
Bud assists Harm with the defence and in his research he demonstrates a computer program that teaches you how to react to someone who appears to be suicidal. A conversation between Harm and Bud happens, Harm feels the program is a waste. He says "people are mixed up everywhere". Bud then corrects him about the mixed up part and opens up about a dark place he was in after he lost his leg.
That whole exchange is so so important. I love that they slipped this in. It made Harm think twice and it teaches us as viewers a lesson as well.
