Are you a pastor/ work for the church? I ask because so do I and am always interested when I meet another in fandom.
Iâm a layperson. But at my UCC church, laypeople have a lot of opportunities to do liturgy writing, and Iâve also preached a couple of sermons and done some other pieces of the service over the years. It helps that I am seminary-educated. I generally write the liturgy (which is not a lot of work - itâs two prayers plus picking the songs) one or two months out of each year.Â
 I usually really enjoy it - writing prayers is like writing situational poetry, and the challenge of making them authentic to my theology and also relevant for the congregation as a whole is fun. But the election has added a layer of challenge (and a layer of personal depression) that I havenât quite figured out how to solve yet.
