Last night was an interesting night at the Exchange Rate (Hostel Bar). The absinthe started flowing early, and once that interest in the Green Fairy is sparked, it usually carries through the night. It’s a fun/interactive drink to make, for sure. Activity came in waves, but big waves. 3-5 people would walk into the bar right as the phone started ringing or someone dinged for assistance at the front desk…(bring it on, more the merrier.) Later in the evening, we had bar patrons from 3 of our closest neighborhood businesses; I must say, our block is starting to look pretty rad. One of our friends from the block got “sauced like barbeque” as Izzy said, laughing.
-Hope you’re feeling alright today, George! I know you were anticipating the biggest day for the business yet, today. Cheers!
-Corey, thanks for helping out with that; you rock. (That’s how we roll around here- we help each other out.)
The pub crawl, led by our very own Marketing Guru, Emily, was also going on as well, so that may have had something to do with the interesting sway of the night. I found a pint glass in the toilet, oddly enough, and a girl who seemed completely sober one minute fell out of her stool the next. (Everything has been sanitized, and all parties are okay.) Overall, it was an interesting, enjoyable night, nonetheless.
Aaaaaaaannnd now Hostel Fish gathers up for another weekend!
We’re fully stocked in the bar, and once again a %100 in the hostel for the next couple of days. Stop into our hidden gem of a bar, and experience an oasis among the Lodo-madness, tonight. The mixture of Denver locals and world travelers creates a particularly cool atmosphere. Who knows which beautiful foreign traveler you’ll meet and hit it off with. ;)
