We spent a day brewing with our friends from @idiombrewingco! A few short weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting the crew for a day brewing yet another boundary-pushing IPA--this time using Helio Gazer, an innovative new yeast strain from @omegayeast. "Soul Gazer" Thiolized Hazy DIPA (8.5%) features Phantasm (powdered New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc grape skins) w/ NZ Cascade, Moutere, NZH-107 & Nelson Sauvin hops drops Wednesday! @phantasm.nz powder and NZ Cascade hops are chock-full of Thiol precursors and the new Helio Gazer yeast strain is specifically designed to unlock the otherworldly tropical potential of those bound aromatics. The result is an absolute passion fruit juice bomb disguised as a Hazy Double IPA. White grape and lime aromas sit behind an explosion of pure passion fruit bliss. This is a hell of a beer. #Repost @builttotravel Dark and Wild City in Leeds, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. Organized at Northern Monk in their Leeds Refactory. It’s all thanks to Dave @dayv_sadler that I made it to this unforgettable festival and city. In terms of Leeds highlights I will deliver more in future posts, my content is quite big after just 4 days. This post here is purely dedicated to the festival. The venue is just wonderful, I’m a sucker for brick buildings. It got a bit too crowded at some point inside but plenty of space outside. The atmosphere with Halloween costumes was adding to the whole dark theme. The live music gigs was my favorite part of the festival, yeah more then beer 😅🤟🏻. The choice of bands was just so appealing to my dark and wild heart! After all metal and it’s variations are the kinds of music! Food options so yummy 😋. Had the baos and a burger, all delicious. Now the other thing that I loved were the people! I did meet new people especially The Emperor himself @emperorsbrewery! Got to meet finally Justyna @explore.theunknown after so many years of following each other on Instagram. Meeting fellow connoisseurs 😅 of the Dark is always my idea of beer festivals, learning new stuff, tasting new beers, discovering new breweries. In terms of beers I was surprised this was the first festival where I actually could try all the beers. Special shout out to the @browarfunkyfluid for also getting to try their special smoked hard liquor. My favorite beers in stout were @weldwerksbrewing Summer Starry Noche 2022, @vaultcitybrewing From a Gaelic Sea, Far, Far Away… and @neonraptorbrew Centaur Army. Sour favorites were again Vault with their 999g/L Strawberry Banana Vanilla Crunch Smoothie and Blueberry Pumpkin Spice Latte.
