I made myself mad by daydreaming, so here's a drabble - ? - about the childhood of Jay, and how he new the original owner of big Daniel. TW - parental abuse, homophobia

Is it him?!, Jay thought to himself as he noticed Daniel for the first time.

He immediately knew it, it must only be his James right? The James he had loved every since he can remember.

He just knew it, by the way he jodged punches. He just watched, a thousand of thoughts running through his head.

Why didn't he recognise him, go to him, talk to him, Why did he change his name?

It's all like the past was sucking him back in.

> Back to around 6 years ago, when Jay was 10 years old <

Jay was happy, he could finally go back to school.

It's not what you would expect from a ten year old, but he just couldn't help himself. It's monday, so that means he can see his crush.

Ah, James. They were the same age, but Jay felt like he can learn so much from him. He is the smartest in class after all.

He is nice, smart and very strong. He has even taught Jay how to fight, he wanted to be as cool as his little love. He wanted to protect him, and what other way was better than to honour the arts of fights?

He ran excitedly towards the door, while putting his back pack on. His eyes had stars in it, and his face the brightest smile as possible.

He was ready to grab the door, when he had to stop himself.

Suddenly his dad's figure showed up in front of him, sending chills down to his spine.

He has always scared him, ever since the passing of his mom, his dad was a two faced mask.

In public, he pretended everything was fine, but behind closed doors? He became a nightmare. He was violent and abusive, but only towards Jay.

Even by his sight, he had to take a step back.

" Son? We need to talk "

Jay started playing with his fingers, and gave a small nod. He went towards their kitchen, and sat down.

What could it be? When dad wants to talk, he is never taking things light hearted.

He glanced up, where his order brother stood at. Kitae's eyes could cut through anything, and Jay felt no otherwise. He had his arms crossed around in front of his chest.

The little one could only look away, tension building up inside him. He kept playing with his fingers and staring at the table in his sight.

His dad sat across him, putting his older brother's phone on the table. The gallery was open and wide.

There it was, James and Jay innocently smooching, if it can even be called that. They were holding hands, sitting on their favourite stairs, one swipe and it was them holding hands, another one, hugging at their bus stop. They came like that, one after another.

" Explain these to me, son. "

He couldn't, he was shaking in fear, barely hearing anything being said. A thousand thoughts ran through his head, yet the only one that mattered to him at the moment was " Is James alright? "

His breath kept getting quicker and quicker, mimicking his heart rate. The room swayed around him, he stood up and grabbed his chest.

He attempted to go away, to take his medication. However, he landed on the floor.

He got slapped by his father, and he could finally hear everything. His father's yelling, the crying of his little sister who was held back upon running there, and the cruellest of them all, his brother.

" If you are going to live like that, you should go kill yourself. Do you think that will be accepted? "

Jay has never liked to cry at the sight of other's, but he couldn't help himself. Maybe, just maybe they said that to James, or even worse. He grabbed the ankle of his father, and begged.

His voice was small, and unclear, but that didn't stop him.

" Father, please don't do this "

He got kicked.

It's no use, to talk to someone who's heart is frozen over.

He got grabbed my the arm, and straightened up. He didn't look up, just held his cheek and arm. Crying is no use, he just held it back.

" That's it, this is the last bit. Tomorrow, you will go train with Sophia. You have been causing too much trouble, I can look past fights but not this. "

That's how it all began, and how it all ended.

Why didn't James notice him? Maybe it's not James?

No. He thought to himself, he definitely knows it's him.

Anyone could go through a name change right? For whatever reason, he decided to trust his gut.

He couldn't help but filled with love, he felt a sense of belonging.

Okay so, I am really having a hard time doing the Vinjin headcanons, so instead of doing the requests from hardest to easiest I will do it the other way around. Please enjoy some Jay things that make him Jay. 💚

- He like, really loves stickers. Some of his things like parts of closet, phone, tv ect have some on them. Not excessivly though.

- He gets shy seeing couples do pda. Especially if it's boys.

- He has a bunch of weapons, but hates fighting up close.

- He actually doesn't care about fighting or money that much, however he loves living comfortable and being praised for his abilities.

- He likes action movies, but can't stand seeing hardcore things like bone, a dead body or someone getting stabbed.

- He really hates the sounds of bones cracking.

- Whenever he sees a couple do adorable things, he imagines himself and Daniel in that situation. His daydreams aren't always accurate though.

- He really loves fluffy carpets, especially white ones.

- He probably has a moon shaped lamp that he turns on while sleeping

- He really loves fashion. He probably gets frustrated if someone tries to say something is 'outdated' just to be quirky. Fashion repeats itself, and he knows that.

- He bites ice cream, but only when he is mad.

- He draws tiny sketches in his notebook when he is bored.

- He usually doesn't study to an extreme amount, but still gets good grades.

- He actually doesn't have a lot of friends besides his classmates aka, Daniel, Zack, Zoe and Mira. Daniel is the closest to him.

- He is an extremely caring person.

- He isn't close to either of his siblings but he loves sending them pictures of his puppies.

- He already has names picked out for his children.

- He never kissed, pecked or smooched anyone before but has practiced on his hand. Never told anyone tho.

- He can eat a lot. He probably likes mixing random food too, like sugary cocoa powder with butter bread.

- He likes vampires. His anime crush is probably a vampire.

- He can't kill bugs. He is too scared to get close to them.

- He likes chewing ice.

- He doesn't know how to make paper airplanes, but knows how to design a real one that meets all safety rules.

- He likes fashion because he believes people can truly express themselves through clothes.

- He probably has a plush, a bunny or something of the sort, that he keeps because it reminds him of his childhood.

- He wears berry mix chapsticks.

- He is extremely hard to make mad. Expect if you hurt someone he likes or loves.

- He obviously believes in love at first sight, so does he in the red string of fate.

- He hates frogs. Like he freaks out by them. They are slime and scary for him.

- He likes jumping on his bed.

- Sometimes he makes fake crying noises so the puppies go to him and give him pecks.

- He has tried dried dog food once. Just one piece. He gagged. He was like 10.

- He once wanted to burn his older brother's rolex but he decided to not do it.

- He likes chalks. He thinks they are neat to draw with.

- Since he doesn't smoke anymore, he uses gaming or writing as a stress relief. To fill out the loss of hand motion.

- He really loves silk.

- He listens to piano music during his baths.
