Hey Dragon!!💕

It took me longer than expected to gather my ideas, but here we go!!

Harumi and Tanya studied together in high school!

They were both cheerleaders and Tanya was team captain!

Harumi is extremely sociable and friendly, so she befriended Tanya on their first day of training. They've been best friends ever since!

Tanya was very popular in high school, she was an unusual "good mean girl" meaning she targeted bullies instead of the bullied.

She used to pick up some serious fights till the school boarding warned her it could affect her chances of getting a scholarship. Even though she was an extremely dedicated student.

Tanya doesn't come from a wealthy home, so she couldn't afford missing any chance to get her scholarship!

Harumi didn't think it was fair that Tanya was getting in trouble for defending other kids, so she started to cover up for her.

Being liked by everyone had it's perks, Harumi could get anyone to help back us her stories.

Tanya stopped picking up actual fights and started to do some little pranks instead.

The bullies always knew it was her, but with Harumi getting more than half of the school promptly siding with her and Tanya, it was hard for them to get her in any trouble!

To get extra points, Tanya also joined the gardening club at their school, which Harumi was part of!

Tanya wasn't that great at gardening, but of course Harumi helped her out (which made her very happy cause usually it was Tanya who helped her with her studies, so it was nice to be the one helping for a change)!

Tanya graduated with flying colours as one of the best students. Which granted her a 100% scholarship!

She got to attend the best gymnastics program in the country!

She was hoping after graduation she would open her own program for low income children like herself!

Harumi also got herself a scholarship to the same college as Tanya, though she was majoring in nursing instead.

They both opened her acceptance letters together and spend an entire weekend celebrating!

It was at college that they met the rest of the girls!

✎↷: thank you! this post won’t be fully ‘omen and sage relationship’ but more so their build towards it, or at least their dynamic! hope you enjoy!

to think that he would find his creator, his muse on the verge of the same state he used to be. it was something that he wouldn’t ever wish upon anyone, no mortal soul that stood a chance in the radiant world. it’s certainly not what he expected sage to flounder in, foggy-eyed and reduced to shreds of the powerful woman that she once was, and he is wounded in the way that there isn’t even a blink of recognition when her head rolls towards him.

he didn’t fret when sage disappeared. he knows her well to respect the decisions she makes, and all he could do was wish her a safe journey while she did whatever she needed to complete. omen will know how to find her, if need be, and spending years upon years within the rift paid off when he felt traces of sage’s essence slip past his fingers. the woman left an imprint wherever she went in a cool, jaded energy, tilting balances by the sheer force of her existence in the way that someone like omen or yoru wouldn’t be able to ignore.

but omen is there in an instant. muggy grey pools at his ankles, building up to his entrance in what appears to be an abandoned cafe. recently abandoned, he noticed, for there was still life lingering in it’s walls along with voreish wine staining it’s interior. but it doesn’t make up for the healer who’s crumbled by a booth, faced with life-grasping wounds and the silent torture of not being able to slip a word past her lips, churning in her slow demise.

sage has never seen the rifts before, apart from the glimpses of the rift-walkers. it’s disorienting and ties away her connection to the life and power she has, but when she makes out the slashes of eyes in the darkness, she feels like she can breath again. she’s not tethered to the real world in this place but it feels safer then it ever has been before, and omen is part of that reason why.

what she doesn’t know is how she’ll return to the world she once knew, where she wasn’t tethers of shadow and essence much similarly to how omen is. there isn’t quite a physical body in this world, but when omen is here, she understands how freeing yet restraining it is to be in his shoes. for a second, fear overtakes sage. will omen take her back to the protocol, make her explain why she left? would he torment her? would he bring her back like she cruelly did to him?

sage is instead greeted by the sight of omen’s wispy figure sitting, the only indication of such being the darker shades of smoke that ripple off of his limbs. she’s not used to seeing him unbandaged and in his ‘natural’ state, with it being entirely unlike the smooth and translucent glow that replaces her skin, yet she welcomes the touch of the ashy and inhuman hands reaching around hers. and the healer notices there that her journey won’t end there, and never will be for so long as she’s caught in the rift with omen. she and him, bottled into essence and grey matter.

it isn’t worrisome when omen looks at her. communication is near impossible with how tightly and non-existent her teeth are glued shut, removing what senses she had as a thriving human being. omen understands this— there is no need to talk. sage can hear him in her brain like he has worked himself a place in there, echoing throughout the empty chasm and failing to fill the void that surrounds them.

he gets it. her thoughts are quiet, and not fully the raging that an average person would hold onto during death. her abilities have always been able to suspend her and keep her alive through thick and thin, and while this counts under that category, it feels much more like omen is the one who is grounding her. why she hasn’t dispelled to the afterlife is beyond her, but the chinese is making conversation with omen through their muted eye contact. she’s okay with this, as much turmoil rolls through her head.

I dunno, love squares are a bit of a mess and I don't know how they work most of the time😅

Regarding love in general for these four characters, I'll start by saying I've fully come in terms that my true OTP for Kotal is actually D'Vorah🫣 I really liked their pre-betrayal dynamic, when I thought D'Vorah was being genuine! I'm a sucker for Royal x Knight couples (SubScorp, FrozenBlossom and Taleena for once) and as unsettlingly as D'Vorah is, this one also had me for a while!

Do for starters, my idea of Love square would be everyone thinking Jade and Kotal have a thing for each other but actually Kotal is head of heels in love with D'Vorah and Jade is his reluctant wingwoman, lmao!

D'Vorah: *is being D'Vorah*

Kotal, sighing dreamily: Isn't she perfect?

Now for Jade, Tomas and Cyrax, I'm normally more of a JadeSmoke gal, but I can totally get behind SmokeBomb (that's my ship name for Tomas x Cyrax) and I would most definitely get behind a trouple!

Imagine, Harumi is trying her hardest to make JadeSmoke happen, and upon seeing her struggle and frustration, Cyrax offers her help!

She tries throwing them hints that "someone perfect for them might be right under their noses and they just need to pay more attention to them" and the duo actually put on some thought to what she says...

Harumi: So how is operation JadeSmoke going?👀

Cyrax: Oh, they sure are dating...

Harumi: That's great--

Cyrax: Me.

Harumi: ... what?

Cyrax: They are dating me. They are both dating me, I'm dating them and Jade's OCD had to finish the triangle so they are also dating each other.

Harumi:

Cyrax: So mission accomplished, I guess...

Harumi: Yay!

My favourite dynamic for them, you already know "3rd wheels who 3rd wheel together", so not really relationship goals, but an awesome dynamic whatsoever, lmao! I love the idea of them going "do you think we're still single cause we are too pretty?😔" "Every single day😔"
