The idea of getting out on the town was something that Jamie couldn't wait to do, especially since it had been so long since he had been back to Long Beach. The term away from California had been good for him, giving him a chance to see his family again and spending time with his sisters, but Jamie was glad to be back to the place that he was now starting to consider home. He had to admit that he was surprised that he'd just gotten back and already found someone who he not only could relate to, but could also see as a friend. Jamie was actually quite excited to get out and spend some time with Jacob. A big part of him was looking forward to just hanging around the boy and getting to know him better, but there was also a part of him that was looking forward to just spending time back in California, wandering around to the places that he used to go to and exploring to find new places. He tugged on the jacket that he was wearing, pulling it tighter around himself to keep out the slight chill and fumbled with the bear hat that he had on, smiling a little bit as he thought of how one of his local neighbours back home had given it to him after she told him that he was going to be successful when he went to the United States. Things like that were one of the reasons that Jamie kept going on with his desire to succeed as a musician, and that was the thought that he got lost in as he waited outside of the dorm building for Jacob to arrive so they could go wander around the town.
