Dogs teach us a lot of things but none of them are more important than to LOVE unconditionaly.

Right so ideally you’d have done something summer after 1st year to prove your interest in that area. I know for law, it’s really important to have shown dedication to law so I did a little mini internship with a lawyer in my hometown over winter of 2nd year to get that box ticked on my applications. The details of my and my boyfriends internships are HERE which might give you a bit of a guideline for what people who end up with the jobs they want do. 

If you haven’t any experience, you can make up for it by being parts of clubs, though previous experience is always better. I would also definitely recommend doing the events that the careers service plans (not the big “law day” or consultancy day ones but more the workshop things) because it helps you a ton for the type of thing you’ll be asked at interview.
