Villains & Vigilantes was a foundational RPG for me in the 80s, it was my first true RPG love. I loved everything about it, including the characters Jeff and Jack teased us with in the rulebook.

In 1986, Eclipse comics published a 4 issue miniseries by Jeff & Jack based on the "Crisis at Crusader Citadel" adventure module and I couldn't believe my eyes as a teenager when I saw that first issue on the shelves. I made sure to buy all 4 issues and read them over and over. It’s also one of the few examples of Jeff penciling full comic book issues. 

Recently, I found this complete V&V comics miniseries in great shape at a local comics shop. They were in a pile of unreviewed, unpriced new inventory and I swooped on them like nobody's businessI I had these as a teenager in the 80s and couldn't believe I just stumbled across them again so unexpectedly.
