Apparently the solution to “our employees are drinking SO/TOO MUCH OF THE 10CENT BOTTLES OF WATER that we provide in the SUMMER in TEXAS” is to... completely restrict who can have these bottles of water that were out for months for employees for free. Now unless you’re actually out in the sun you don’t get free water. Instead we have to hope that we bring in enough of our own since the water fountains are also still turned off and nobody’s gonna be refilling their water bottles with bathroom sink water.
I know conditions are worse elsewhere but still. Dang. they were 10 cents each y’all. the fact that it’s been over 100* and corporate controls our thermostat it hasn’t occurred to you this is why we’ve been using so many bottles? The break room is hot too. most of the non-fridged parts of the store are hot. I have to bring my own damn fan because there’s no A/C in the lobby. I’m constantly having customers remarking on this exact fact.
so your solution essentially was since everybody is actually using this resource to not pass out from heat stroke that nobody who isn’t directly in the sun gets it. (somehow I don’t count even though the sun is beating directly on my back and arms and I am often going out the doors to fetch one of our cart guys for stuff)
