Our friends are important to us on many levels. We've known these people growing up and created bonds that could never be broken. Years and years of getting to know each other is what makes a friendship worth having and keeping for a lifetime. No amount of time apart or lack of communication could ever separate the best of friends. It could be days, weeks, months, or years and the moment you reconnect is like nothing had ever happened and no time had passed. Friends have that affect on us because we put up the effort towards the friendship and care about one another regardless of what either could be going through in life. We have each other to go to and talk to so that we have a second opinion about certain situations that are going to make a significant impact in our lives. Friends are always there to help, make us laugh, lend a should to cry on, spend time with or go out and do anything together. Friends check up on you if they haven't heard from you in a while. Friends let you know that they are there for you in case you've been having some doubts about your friendship. Friends tell you that they care about you and love you. Friends want you to be around them. Friends talk to you about everything and include every detail. Friends are more important to us than we know. We may take them for granted at times but they stay regardless. We might have a falling out or argue but the friendship remains the same. That's what friends do. That's what friends are for. This is what should come out of friendship and nothing less.
