I try my hardest to forget my dreams cause I have really vivid ones that can really upset me, the most prominent one atm is probably the one where my mum died and i realised by seeing her phone floating in a flooded village.

If something like that happens again, know that it's okay to 'stick to your guns', so to speak. It isn't rude of you to reject non-vegan food in the same way it isn't rude to reject food containing gluten. Both are things you do not wish to consume, and you should be allowed not to consume them and be free from judgement. Even if they're trying to be kind. 

My situation re: animal experiments, vivisection, and dissection, is pretty complicated. I know that after this year I can avoid doing dissections, but for now it's a mandatory part of my course, and I will lose marks if I don't participate.

The dissection of a crayfish last week was something I only had to observe, as my two lab partners happily mutilated the body, and I'm hoping there will never be a time when I am required to actively participate. If there is, I will refuse, and happily lose marks to save my morals and emotional health. Even watching the dissection last week caused me to break down after the lab ended, and stressed me the fuck out. I was a mess.
