1 ) I don't use revision timetables

This is because I find if i don't stick to it ,it makes me spiral as i feel as though i can't start when it doesn't say I can. Instead , I make a list of things i want to do that day (the day before usually works best) and do it in any order that i feel like , aware i might not get it all done.

2 ) soundtracks of something I'm interested in!!

This helps me a bunch with times i don't feel in the mood to concentrate or i feel bored as I can put on a soundtrack/theme tune of something I'm interested in and it keeps my brain interested. For example I really like using the Dr who and mario kart music for this.

3) I often work in big blocks

This is because my brain works in just getting tasks done and I find if i take a break I will become distracted and not come back to it.

But if i need to take breaks I do and you should to !!

4) find a revision method for you

This is easier said than done i found that making flashcards and doing past papers really helped as it kept me less overwhelmed.

Try to find a revision method that will overwhelm you the least!!

5) accessibility tools

I realise these aren't available to everyone but if you have access to them please use them, i get revision support from school and ADHD meds which have helped me so much!!!

On that note if you think you are eligible for exam arrangements please get tested . I get extra time, rest breaks and a smaller room and i couldn't do any of this without them !!

Ask your teachers for help and they should help you no matter if you have a diagnosis or not for example if you are wanting a certain revision recourse e.g. a sheet to fill in ,past paper questions or struggling with revision. They should help you!!
