Looking into it, I think Ixtab might be in the same boat as Chernobog... There’s that picture of the lady hanging by a rope in the Dresden Codex, but as far as I’ve seen, the only person that seems to actually talk about the deity is Diego de Landa... I dunno, pretty sus

Succinctly, suicide by hanging didn’t seem to be a Maya thing at all, though it did exist in Spanish culture. So, Ixtab as the goddess of suicide by hanging seems to be de Landa’s invention.
