Pollination Week 🐝 Gear: @ivoryella Facts: “Pollinator Partnership is a non-profit organization with a mission to help promote pollinator health through conservation, education, and research. One of their main sources of motivation is the fact that pollinators are critical to our ecosystems and provide a huge portion of the food we consume. While the main locations of their projects are within the United States, Canada, and Mexico, their work extends across the globe. You may be thinking, “why do pollinators matter so much?” Well, when you begin to research the importance of pollinators, it becomes overwhelmingly evident just how much they do for us. One of our favorite facts to share with our audience is that pollinators, including bees, butterflies, bats, and beetles (among many other small mammals), are responsible for bringing humans one out of every three bites of food. They sustain our ecosystem by providing 75%-95% of flowering plants the nutrients required to reproduce. Pollinators bring 180,000 plant species essential elements to their growth. Without pollination, we would be lacking countless fruits, vegetables, oils, and raw materials. We would face low carbon sequestration and severe soil erosion. Pollinator Partnership educates the public on devastating possibilities like these, and does their part to combat them from becoming a reality.” Read more at https://ivoryella.com/blogs/ie-blog/pollinator-week #pollinationweek #ivoryella #influencerlife (at Ivory Ella) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQgoruOrFaa/?utm_medium=tumblr
