The bathroom is completely choked with steam, turning the space into a warm, blurred sanctuary cut off from the rest of the world. The hot water reaches just below your chest, and across from you, Rin is leaning back against the edge of the tub. His wet, dark hair clings to his forehead, framing eyes that look unusually relaxed, stripped of their usual sharp, competitive edge.

Your legs are intertwined under the water—his long, toned calves brushing against the soft curve of your thighs.

Without a word, Rin reaches out. His long, calloused fingers hook gently behind your knee, pulling you forward until you’re sitting right between his thighs, your back resting securely against his chest. He wraps his arms loosely around your waist, his hands resting flat against your stomach, letting the weight of his palms sink into your softness.

For a long time, neither of you says anything. The only sound is the occasional drip of the tap and the heavy, rhythmic rise and fall of Rin’s chest against your back.

Slowly, his right hand moves. He lifts his index finger and begins to trace lazy, drifting patterns against your skin underwater. He follows the soft curve of your hip, dragging his finger upward to trace the shape of your waist, then down again. His touch isn't hurried or frantic, instead, it’s incredibly deliberate, almost hypnotic.

To a genius soccer player whose entire life is defined by perfect angles, calculation, and hard muscle, your body is a masterpiece of a completely different kind. It’s warm, incredibly soft, and completely comforting. It’s the only place where his hyper-analytical mind actually shuts up.

"Rin?" you murmur, shifting slightly in his grip. "What are you doing?"

"hmmm," he hums, and his voice holds none of its usual bite. It’s low, raspy, and thick with the heat of the room.

He presses his lips against the crook of your neck, his breath hot against your damp skin. His finger continues its slow journey, tracing a line across your stomach before his whole hand spreads out again, squeezing your waist firmly, anchoring you to him.

"You're so beautiful," he murmurs against your skin, his grip tightening just a fraction. "Perfect right here."
