It had been a couple of days since Sam had heard from Beth and he was worried. He didn’t know if it was because she was still mad at him or if something had happened, but either way he needed to see her to make sure that she was okay. After everything that he’d been through with Robin, Sam just hated not hearing from people. It upset him far more than it should, but he couldn’t help it. Sam knocked on her door and waited.

There had been a million things swirling through Esme’s head ever since Valentine’s Day and she just needed to talk to Beth and try to make some sense out of it all. Her best friend was the one person she could rely on to actually keep her secrets and help her make sense of everything. Esme just hoped that the other girl didn’t judge her too much. She had texted to make sure Sam wasn’t over, before making her way over to Beth’s door and knocking.

To say that Sam was worried was an understatement. Beth had disappeared from the party without an explanation and he was worried about her. He’d had too many people disappear to just let that sort of thing happen without having to check on people. Due to this he made his way over to her dorm and knocked on her door just hoping she’d answer. He also sent her a text to let her know he was outside.

Sam knocked gently on Beth’s door, waiting for his girlfriend to answer. Things had been a bit hectic lately but he was happy that they’d finally come up with a time that they could get together and spend some time at the market. Sam was just hoping that today would give him ideas on what to get her for Christmas because he did want to get her a gift before he headed home for the holidays. 

Sam was excited that Beth was coming over tonight to cook for him. The semester had really started to pick up and he felt as though he needed an evening to just be able to relax and de-stress from everything that had been happening with classes and such. When he heard her arrive he opened the soor with a smile. “Hey, come on in.”

It had been a while since he had heard from Beth. Sam knew that maybe he was being paranoid, but he needed to see that she was okay. It wasn’t enough to get a text from her, he needed to physically see that she was alive and well. Due to this, he found himself at her door and knocking to wait to see if she was home and would answer. Perhaps he should have texted first, but it was too late for that. 

Esme knew that Beth had been worried about her, and deep down she knew that her friend had a point. She hadn’t been feeling herself in quite a long time now, and she was so tired of feeling like everything was falling apart. She just wanted to feel okay again, and to somehow dig herself out of the hole she’d been living in. The previous morning she’d realized how bad her roots were showing, but she also didn’t really feel like the blonde was suiting her anymore. It had been a choice she’d made to try to stand apart from Ellery, but Ellery was gone. Earlier that morning she’d gone and picked up hair dye, finding the shade that matched her natural red almost perfectly. She just hoped that her and Beth would be able to figure out how to get her hair back to normal. When she heard a knock on her door she pulled it open.

Sam was leaving for his holiday the next day and wanted to make sure to spend as much time with Beth as he could before he went. Which is exactly why he had dedicated today to exchanging gifts with her and just enjoying each other’s company. He was just tidying up his place and waiting for her to arrive. Sam had ordered her favorite takeout and done his very best wrapping her gift, as he wanted everything to be perfect.
