“Your date? I’m flattered you think so highly of me, but…” His voice trailed off as he glanced over at Ignis, despite the obvious elephant in the room covered by his sunglasses, his senses were heightened. Ignis, for the brief time he’s come to known the Royal Adviser, has no reason to prank around with something like this.
Nyx’s eyes glanced to the side, seeing a lone woman looking around frantically, as if searching for someone. The dots slowly connected in his mind as he looked back at Ignis.
“Oh, honey.” His words were so forced and faked, yet somehow the exaggeration was convincing enough to his own ears,
“I had thought you would get lost during the way.” For… obviousreasons, “I haven’t seen you in so long. Come, we must catch up.” Each word was more emphasized than the other, voice growing steadily louder for the woman’s ears to pick up, glancing back at her from the corner of his eye to see her look disappointed that Ignis seemingly had a lover. Either that, or wary of Nyx’s ominous glowing scars on his charred left arm. Either or.
Nyx clasped Ignis’s hand with his own intimately as part of the act, escorting him to an alley two blocks down from her location. As soon as it was confirmed that they lost her, he let go of his hand and leaned against the wall, arms crossed.
“Fangirl of yours, or something? Must be a daily routine.”
The act was comical; but it seemed that the combination of the glaive’s physique, intimidating scars, and the boom of his voice had driven Ignis’s problems away for the time being. The fact that he did think that highly of Nyx was neither here nor there at the moment.
As they stopped - as did the horrendous act - Ignis found himself relaxing again, leaning against the opposing wall. “Not quite. She’s been stalking me for the past hour.” He sighed and pulled off the visor he hid his milky eyes with, absently cleaning them. Some habits die hard. “Even after multiple chances to approach - including a rather exaggerated fall - she never got any closer than a few yards from me. It was worrying to say the least.”
“I honestly was a bit shocked to hear your voice in this crowd, Ulric. So close to Insomnia after everything that happened. That is still happening...” He couldn’t tell when exactly the sun had been fully blotted out; or even if it still rose from time to time. His sight had gone long before that set in. “If you don’t have a camp, you are welcome to share mine tonight.”
