This week, instead of a WIP Wednesday post, I bring the concrete dates for the giant oneshot barrage I've been teasing for months 😌

As the spreadsheet below shows, these fics total ~78k, and as long as there are no problems on the IRL or AO3 end, I'll be posting them in the span of one week.

I've split them based on word count: approximately 31k over the first three days, then the longest oneshot that's over 16k on its own, then approximately 31k over the final three days.

The winners of the poll are, in order, Nanami, Chōsō, Getou, and Kirara+Hakari. Kenjaku and Mei Mei lost. The three characters I'd picked prior to holding the poll are Yuuta, Higuruma, and Sukuna.

The vote race was very entertaining, by the way. Chōsō had a hell of a lead initially, and Getou and Nanami were neck to neck under him. Getou fell slightly behind eventually, and then it was Nanami vs. Chōsō. It was only a 6-vote difference between them in the end. Mei and Kenny had 7 and 20, respectively—and one of Mei's votes was from me. RIP, sexy lady.

Anyway, these are the ideas in more detail:

Nanami: saints just swimming in our sins again

Chōsō: you were something like a god to me

During the training timeskip month, Yuuji asks if Blood Manipulation can be used to make yourself "last," and then there's the grand reveal that Chōsō hasn't so much as jerked off, ever.

Getou: when running wild gets volatile

Senpai–kouhai AU where a discussion about Yuuji's and Suguru's respective cursed-object swallowing techniques leads them to test said techniques in a more hands-on manner.

I finished writing the Yuuta fic the other day, and I plan on tackling either Nanami or Higuruma next. I'll be saving the Sukuna one for last—that will likely not be a oneshot.

I kind of locked in the last couple of days to finish this. Wrote 3.7k today and voila!

This is the shortest of these oneshots so far. More notably, it flowed the best out of everything except the nanaita fic. I wasn't expecting that, what with how both the ship and two-thirds of it are very, very new territory to me. I don't think I've written Hakari at all, and I've only written a tiny scene featuring Kirara. Still, they all behaved pretty well. It helped that the bulk of the interactions are between Yuuji and Kirara, who've got a pretty fun but straightforward dynamic. Kirara and Hakari are similarly easy to tackle. Yuuji and Hakari are more complicated, to me, but thanks to the premise, their interactions in this are fairly limited, with Kirara serving as a buffer.

That's another reason this ended up being shorter than I expected—I thought the added character would also show in the word count, but it sort of cut it down instead. Yuuji mostly just observes Hakari and also what Kirara and Hakari have got going. He has thoughts on it, sure, but it's not the deeper engagement that I'd have written if this had a Hakari/Yuuji element beyond the threesome interactions. Overall, I'm very happy with how the whole thing came out, and I am evilly proud of how the past/background goyuu has been worked in.
