How will sneep would react if his partner confesses to be Into little space and ask him to be their caregiver? π€
(in a non-sexual way just comfort)
Not gonna lie to you anon, canon Snape is going to be weirded out. He's someone so tightly in control with such specific ways to unwind himself that this would feel very hard to understand for him.
Then again, your question is about a potential partner. So let's imagine they've been together for a while and then they hit him with the confession, then what?
Severus Snape is... I think, not good at comfort, and it's mostly due to the fact that he's never been himself properly cared for. He's not good with words, would have to actually learn to be physical with someone at first too (not talking about sex here, just the act of taking someone's hand, hugging when it's needed, caressing a shoulder, a cheek...). He mostly likes to help in little ways, with acts of services or gifts. He'd leave notes, fold your clothes, pick flowers and put them on your desk without a word, buy you that thing that was almost empty before you even have to think about it.
So being a full-on caregiver would be a very disconcerting role for him as it would expect such a different attitude from his normal self. Not saying he couldn't/wouldn't learn, but I think he'd be quite bad at it at first.
But with time I suppose everything is possible.
