the way i was raving about on becoming a god only to quit 3 episodes from the finale
Finally watched Voltron
So in terms of character development I found that it literally turned into the:
The Keith & Shiro show, with special guest Pidge, cameos from Hunk, and hide & seek with Lance.
Not even going to talk about the ending cause I'm going to pretend that it doesn't exist. They really should have kept it.
The sound of Alliance Siegetanks battering down the gates of Ar’Gorok boomed across the Arathi Highlands, the distant clatter of swords and shields drowned out by the scream of the canon shots. Men cried out, bleeding on the ground, trampled by foes and comrades alike as the fighting intensified, the Horde’s defeat seemingly imminent.
To the Southeast of the Horde gates, stood a force of two hundred men and women clad in red and black, holding banners of a dying dragon that billowed in the wind. Their helmets were fierce and hid their features, each one unmoving in perfect formation. At the front, stood Varca Draygoth in her full plate, watching the scene unfold from behind the dark metal of her faceplate.
With her sword set tip down in the soft ground, her sickly, yellow eyes flicked over the various fighting at the gates, as well as the bands of flanking Horde soldiers that attempted to reach the Siegetanks. They were either stampeded by great War Eleks, or drowned by a massive, conjured Water Elemental. Only the Horde artillery seemed to be making a difference, and even then the rate of the canons seemed to be slowing down noticably out of fear of the splintering gates.
While the Draygothian forces were quiet, there was an undeniable electricity in the air. Each was near impetuous, leather gloves creaking as spears and swords were gripped tightly, chainmail clinking softly with slight movements. Massive, armoured knights held the front columns upon ferocious warhorses, their eyes a burning colour with coats of midnight.
At last, a final strike from a ball of raging fire tore through the Horde gates, causing the massive doors to be ripped from their hinges entirely, crushing a small phalanx of Orc soldiers that were hunkered behind it. Alliance cries of victory were heard all across the plain of battle, and with one massive surge, they began to storm into the narrow entrance of Ar’Gorok.
Varca picked up her blade, kicking the flat end to bring it facing upwards now. She turned to her small force of knights and guardsmen, gesturing to the burning Horde fortress with a nod of her head. “Break them, kill them. Dismantle that Orc mockery of architecture.”
With no battlecries or horns, the Draygothian force surged forward as one, dust kicked up immediately as two hundred and six guardsmen and knights stormed past their liege lady, heading directly for the now-vulnerable fortress. Their spears held ready, with shields raised, they were quick to join the blue and gold of Alliance soldiers in the fray, slashing and cutting with deadly efficiency.
Varca herself merely walked the distance, given a slight berth from her advancing troops as she seemed to be going for a stroll in a park perhaps. With the sword set behind her neck, and her arms draped over the ends, she seemed utterly casual with how she approached the ending siege of Ar’Gorok.
That was, until a Sin’dorei Blood Knight cut through a soldier on her left, quickly raising his blade to strike the mocking human female. That was, until suddenly he felt those clawed digits take him by the throat, and lift him with ease off the ground. That long blade was soon thrust into his chest, twisting and splintering the metal as he was still dangling off the ground, dropping his weapon as he scratched and struck the helmet beneath him. To his horror, he found himself held in such a way that his blood poured into the open holes of the woman’s helmet, the sound of her savouring what poured in striking terror in his slowly dying heart. He did not have to suffer long, as his lifeless corpse was soon tossed aside, the Dragonslayer shaking with pure ecstasy, looking for her next foe.
“Oh, how I missed this dearly…”
i just finished a neris x reader fic and i've never fell into a depression because of a fic before. it literally made me cry from discomfort and grief...
