i'm not going to trust what some fucking american or whatever scientists say about washing rice i'm asian and if you don't want your rice to be sticky goop central you will wash it
babe the study was done by chinese scientists. in china. in beijing.
#they aren't even chinese-american they're just chinese 💀#the only thing you're doing is washing OFF some groovy vitamins and nutrients#it makes NO DIFFERENCE#i only eat short-grain sticky japanese-style rice because that's the only kind i like.#i've made it both washed and unwashed#it was exactly the same amount of sticky both times babe#also tasted exactly the same#if someone serves you unwashed rice and it has a bad texture or taste that's not because they didn't wash it they just didn't cook it right#that'll be a water ratio issue or a cooking time issue#not a 'didnt put it under the tap first' issue
