Yes, I know exactly where you’re coming from anon! I have had many people look at me funny because I say that I’m in the ST fandom, and I’m 20 years old! I totally get that! Which is ridiculous because, what difference does it make how old you are? If you love a show, and you’re passionate about it, why not be involved with a fandom and people who also share your interest and passion for it? Some people are just very judgemental, and don’t even think to try to understand it from others point of view!

But yes, I believe I know of a few over 18 users who have a ST or IT blog!

first of all, don’t be jealous of me. i’m not worth your time or energy.

second, it’s not about the followers. don’t stress over the numbers; because they’ll build up over time. yeah sure, having a bunch of followers is nice but everyone starts somewhere!

third, use tags on your imagines. i use a variety, for example, let’s say i made a Stanley Uris imagine. i’d put different styles of tags like stanley uris x reader, stanley uris imagine, stan uris, etc. this allows your imagine to pop up on a bunch of different tags, so it’s more likely someone will stumble upon it.

fourthly, don’t just post your imagines! reblog things from other It blogs, or any blog really! not only does it attract more attention for the users who enjoy the other content, it gets your name noticed in the activity feeds of other users! (i can’t speak for other It blogs, but i certainly go through my feed and check out a lot of your accounts!!)

finally, i think the most important one is to do things at your own pace. i would never recommend forcing yourself to write something. forcing it to make sure it’s done doesn’t mean it’s your best work, and it’s not about that! it’s about writing for something that makes you happy and honestly don’t stress over it!

also remember, just because you only get a few notes on an imagine doesn’t mean it isn’t worth writing them!
